Our Products

Hurricane Shutters

Our premium hurricane shutters are meticulously engineered to provide you with security and reassurance, helping to keep your home safe during a storm. As a Fort Myers manufacturer since 1994, we offer a range of hurricane shutters designed to meet your specific needs and preferences. Our guide to roll-down vs. accordion shutters compares the two side by side.

Accordion Shutters

Easy to operate and store, these shutters fold away neatly when not in use. They stay mounted beside the opening and close by hand, so they need no power. Perfect for both residential and commercial properties.

Roll-Down Shutters

Provide a sleek, modern look with the convenience of rolling down to shield your home. When open, they roll up out of sight into a housing above the opening. Motorized roll-downs close from a wall switch or a handheld remote, and manual crank versions are available.

Hurricane Screens

Hurricane screens are an advanced solution designed to protect your home while preserving its natural light and view. Our screens are made from woven fabric built to stand up to high winds and flying debris, in two options: polypropylene, our standard fabric, and aramid, our heavy-duty fabric. These fabrics are selected for their strength and durability, ensuring that the screen can withstand extreme weather conditions. For those who prefer a less obtrusive option, our hurricane screens offer both protection and visibility, and they suit wide lanai openings. Our guide to hurricane screens for lanais and patios covers those openings.

Mesh Screens

Crafted from woven fabric, these screens stand up to flying debris and can be easily retracted or rolled up when not needed.

Clear Screens

Allow natural light to filter through while providing a strong barrier against flying debris and high winds.

Storm Windows

Impact windows and doors build the protection into the opening, so there’s nothing to close before a storm. Our impact windows are engineered to enhance your home’s durability, offering strong defense against high winds and flying debris. We sell and install impact windows and sliding glass doors, and we take pride in delivering products that combine advanced technology with exceptional craftsmanship to safeguard your home effectively.

Impact-Resistant Glass

Designed to absorb and disperse energy from impacts, reducing the risk of shattering and damage.

Advanced Hurricane Technology was founded in Fort Myers in 1994. We have more than 50,000 finished projects behind us, and we serve seven counties, from Collier to Pinellas.

Durability & Reliability

Our rolling shutter system with the CHD-6 slat carries Florida Product Approval under the 2023 Florida Building Code: FL42139-R1 for use inside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ), the area where the code sets its strictest hurricane requirements, and FL42140-R1 for use outside it. Both numbers are listed on our specification sheets. Our written AHT Limited Warranty controls and sets the term for each component: for example, 10 years on the screen fabric itself for black and black/tan polypropylene hurricane screens, and 5 years on aluminum roll-down shutters and on tubular motors.

Custom Fit

We offer tailored solutions to match your specific window and door sizes, ensuring a perfect fit. Each hurricane screen is cut on our CNC table and sewn on our own factory floor in Fort Myers.
