More Than Storm Protection, It’s How We Do Business!

More Than Storm Protection, It’s How We Do Business!

Hi again, Harry Cane here. When a storm threatens, you need hurricane protection you can count on. But true peace of mind comes from knowing the company behind those shutters has your back before, during, and AFTER the weather clears. Here’s why AHT stands apart:

Made in Florida, For Florida

  • Supporting Your Community: We manufacture our storm protection products right here in Southwest Florida, in our 50,000 sq ft facility in Fort Myers, where AHT was founded in 1994. That means local jobs and reinvestment in communities we all call home.
  • Built to Last: We understand the unique challenges of our climate. Our rolling shutter system with the CHD-6 slat carries Florida Product Approval (the state’s listing of code-approved building products) under the 2023 Florida Building Code: FL42139-R1 for use inside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ), the area where the code sets its strictest hurricane requirements, and FL42140-R1 for use outside it. Both numbers are listed on our specification sheets.
  • Here When You Need Us: Because we’re local, our service team typically responds within 24 to 48 hours in the seven counties we serve. That’s the response window, not the repair time, and our office is open Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. If something needs attention, you can request service or repair online.

It’s Not Just a Sale, It’s a Relationship

  • Honest Advice: We take the time to explain your options clearly, helping you make smart long-term decisions, not pressured upsells. For a look at how we think it through, read Harry’s guide to building your home’s hurricane defense plan.
  • Protecting Everyone: Whether it’s finding cost-effective storm protection for homeowners on fixed incomes, or our own AHT Education & Advocacy Fund empowering underserved communities, we make safety a priority for all.
  • Giving Back: Our hurricane relief efforts are about more than products; they’re about supporting the resilience of our entire Florida community.

Harry’s Promise: You’ll See Our Integrity in Action

  • On-Time, On Budget: We respect your time and your investment. As a guide, our hurricane screens typically take 40 to 60 days from measure to installation.
  • Our Own Installers: Your hurricane protection is installed by our own trained crews.
  • We Stand By Our Work: Warranties aren’t just a piece of paper; they’re our commitment to your lasting satisfaction. Our black and black/tan polypropylene hurricane screen fabric, for example, carries a 10-year warranty on the screen fabric itself, and the written AHT Limited Warranty controls the terms.
Checklist of what to expect from AHT: a free in-home visit, products made in our Fort Myers facility, installation by our own crews, a written warranty, and a 24 to 48 hour service response in the counties we serve
